About Me
(My favorite game as a kid, still in my top 5)
(Actionable) Hopes and Dreams
I enjoy new experiences and teaching myself new things, because there are so many interesting things to learn! I'm a Game Design Developer and it's a dream come true. Ever since I was little I loved playing games, be it board, PC, console, or mobile games. I love the immersive experience of games and someday I wish to make my own. After I graduate with my Bachelor's degrees I plan to go to pursue an MBA and do my one year of study focusing on the publishing and marketing of games. There is so much that goes into creating a game and understanding as much of the process is critical for my end goal of becoming a creative director of my own game. It is a big goal, but for now, I'm excited to dive in and get as much technical and industry experience as possible!
My Love of Media
I am a micro-observer, the small details make the biggest impact. I can be engrossed in aesthetic and just how beautiful some animated shows can be. I am fond of 3D animation in games, shows, and movies like Rah-Xephon or Wall-E (My favorite show & movie respectively). The small details of how hair and clothes are animated or special animations given to characters in games help them bring out their personality and sell them as convincing people. This is also true for the environments which can play critical parts in the mood and emotion settings invoke. Writing characters and storytelling is one of my favorite things to do in my spare time. I find threading plot and fitting things into a storyline or stacking events like dominoes just as fun as solving a puzzle. When I have a lot of spare time I like to teach myself new things: The next thing I want to learn is music composition/arrangement. I enjoy how motifs are worked into storytelling to solidify and bring an narrative to an even higher level of viewer investment.

My Collaborative Philosophy, Experience, & Talent
I take a humanistic approach to problem solving, both technical and interpersonal. Almost every problem, project, or innovation is directly tied to people in some way. By understanding the humans involved in the process: their needs, experiences, biases, patterns and their relationships with one another; we can come to more complete, optimal solutions. I emphasize learning from other's experiences and including people and their ideas in the problem solving process.
This is partly why I decided to double major in Psychology. My father was a big influence as a behavioral psychologist. Growing up I would spend a lot of time in his office and labs after school, exposed to a lot of terms and theories. This developed into an interest for the topic that grew alongside my own observations and experiences. The research I have done as a developmental psychologist into how others construct their worldviews is some of the most insightful work I have.
My greatest talent is re-classability, leveraging my diverse skillsets and aptitude to assess where the gaps are in the team's collective skills and filling them in. This help generate greater business value by adapting to new challenges and technologies as they emerge. I have leveraged this in both of my undergraduate internships at Liberty Mutual and Elsevier by meeting new challenges head on and changing roles to meet urgent company needs.
The biggest takeaway for me has been that others are vital to both personal and collective success and often times the most impactful thing I can do is encourage them as a servant leader; trying my best fill in any gaps so people can focus on pursuing the work or path that lets them shine the brightest!
